EMERSON LAUNCHES COMPRESSOR SOUND SOLUTION
Emerson Climate Technologies has developed a sound solution for its semi-hermetic Copeland Stream compressors including Stream Digital.
Two models of the new sound shell are available for the four and six cylinder compressors. Depending on the application, a sound attenuation of up to 16 dBA is possible.
Made of five main parts, the sound shell fits the compressor with enough space for accessory assembling such as capacity control, unloaded start or crankcase heater.
Snapped together components and service doors allow quick access to important protection devices including oil control or the CoreSense Diagnostics module.
The design conforms to EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-2-34 standards and the product comes with CE conformity declaration under the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC.
Design innovations on the new semi-hermetic Stream compressors have led to a sound reduction of up to 7 dBA compared to previous generations of Discus compressors.
In addition, the new sound shell makes Stream compressors from Emerson Climate Technologies the quietest on the market.
